SANTA, I Know HIM!!

Wilson Bank & Trust--Santa Pictures

Southern Made Moments was at Wilson Bank & Trust yesterday from 3 until 5pm taking Santa pictures. This was their first year doing Santa pictures, and we had a really good turnout. We had several kids and even some adults who wanted to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas & to get their picture made with him. There were a few of the kids who didn't care to even go near Santa, so not everyone was too happy to see Santa.

The last picture of the five children & Santa, we were told their house just burnt down and they lost everything. You wouldn't have even known it, they were so happy to see Santa and tell him what they were wanting to see under their tree Christmas morning. So remember Christmas isn't all about the presents although this family has nothing anymore they still have one another. If you haven't gotten an Angel yet, check locally there are families around here that need your help to make a Christmas possible! Thank you to Wilson Bank & Trust for allowing me to take your Santa pictures I enjoyed it; and I look forward to next year!

November Session

Boone+Mandy=Jackson

This weekend I had the opportunity to shoot the cutest family. Boone & Mandy were an absolute blast to shoot, this was the first time I have had a session with them. I have been able to shoot Jackson twice before, for his Nana. They were an absolute blast, and they had a place in mind where they wanted there session at and it was perfect for the fall weather. I loved the idea with the camouflage and boots, it turned out perfect for them and I think they pulled it off well (: Enjoy

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving Blessings-

As I am sitting on the couch watching an early Christmas movie (Holiday in Handcuff's); I got to thinking about what our preacher said today to sit down and think about all of your Thanksgiving Blessings. This year has gone by so fast, time flies when you are having a good time...right? I think this year has just flown by for me; because there was so much going on and keeping me busy as well. If you have been following my blog from the very beginning then most of you know that I got engaged last year in December & recently got married to the man of my dreams in October. Let's start there (:

This a picture that was captured by ©Pretty In Pink Photography at our wedding in October. I am absolutely head over heels in love with this man, he can make my worse days 10x better. He can make my great days 20x better with his humor and just knowing how to have a good time in any situation. We are a lot alike, but we are also two different people as well. We are always trying to figure out ways to surprise each other with things. For example, I went to the grocery store all by myself and got him everything he usually gets for his lunches & for breakfast, we usually do this together, but hunting season is here and I didn't want to have to squeeze that into his schedule. Also, we have been decorating our home for Christmas( it is never too early) we needed stockings, so he went out and bought two stockings and decorated them by himself and they were hanging when I came home from work. Just a few examples, I won't go on any longer you may get jealous. After seeing the midnight premier on Thursday night of Breaking Dawn I was exhausted on Friday; because I only got three hours of sleep before having to work the next day from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Our dishwasher has been broken so the handy man was suppose to come on Friday and replace it with a new one, needless to say he didn't come at all. I had also washed two loads of clothes but didn't have time to fold them. So I can only imagine what Dustin was going to say to me when he came home, with dirty dishes in the sink and clothes on the bed not folded or put away. I come home to the dishwasher going, and clothes folded and put away, and he was vacuuming. I was in complete shock I was ready to come in and apologize for the huge mess, but he understood where I was coming from. I am not saying that he is perfect or our relationship is perfect; because to me nothing will ever be perfect. We have our moments, but we have always been able to work through things, and talk everything out. I am so thankful to have a guy, who comes home on Saturday and finds me dancing and singing my head off to Luke Bryan and just jumps right on in and starts dancing along with me. <--I know you are totally jealous of the both of us we have skills (: Needless to say, I am so glad that I married the man of my dreams, who can have just as much fun with me.

With marrying the man of my dreams, I also get a bigger FAMILY!! Look at all of those people, each and everyone of them means so much to the both of us. I have always been a family person; because let's face it when the world & your friends let you down you can always count on your family to be there for you in any situation. I am so thankful to have one big amazing family, that no matter what  the world gives us there is someone we can always talk to and lean upon. Not to mention I think we are a good looking bunch--not to brag or anything (:

I am also, thankful to have a beautiful place to come home to. This was it back at the beginning of September we had just planted mums, and we were getting ready for our favorite time of the year FALL. Dustin & I were looking into buying a home;but we both could't agree on anything. We also started thinking about it, and we wanted to save some more money and be able to figure everything out before we jumped into buying a house. It has worked out well for us, especially with the economy the way it is. So I am thankful to the Kroser Family (:

I am so thankful this year to be able to travel to different places in the United States and also out of the United States. I was able to travel to Ohio with my best friend Alex for the ARHA World Show. Where I think we stirred up enough trouble there, we may not be able to go back (: I was also able to travel to San Diego California for my photography, which was a great experience for me and I can't to see where my photography will take me next. I traveled to Gatlinburg which isn't new to me I have been several times, but I had never stayed in a log cabin in the mountains before. That was neat, and of course we had to go to the Dixie Stampede. And to top it all off we got to travel to Cozumel Mexico on our Honeymoon, we had so much FUN!! We can't wait to do another cruise and we are looking to go back to Mexico just somewhere different. When I say we can't wait to go back I mean we have been looking up cruises and prices to see when we can afford it to go back, hopefully by next year (: We may be saving every penny we find in the couch! (lol)
I am so thankful to be able to go to all these different places, with growing up on a farm we never went on vacations, so you can imagine all of these places are new to me and a new experience and I enjoyed it so much.

Last put certainly not least I am so thankful to my clients that have kept me so busy this year with sessions. I appreciate each and every one of you, and I enjoyed working with each and every one of you. I know that 2012 will only hold bigger and better things for you. So if you have any suggestions at all please email me, so I can make Southern Made Moments Photography that much better for you. I would have never imagined the first year of being in business that I would have been this busy, thank you for keeping me on my toes I enjoyed it throughly. I can't wait to work with you and your family more in the future, each and everyone of you mean so much to me. (:

These are just a few things that I am thankful for, I could go on and on but you would be reading for a very very long time. So as you celebrate Thanksgiving this year, think a minute about what you are thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving Week (:

It't Christmas time!

CHRISTMAS SPECIALS!

I have been thinking on Christmas Specials for a long time & I have finally come up with THREE specials you & your family can choose from. I know that the economy isn't the greatest right now, so I wanted to come up with specials that EVERYONE would be able to participate in. The specials will run from today, November 8, 2011-December 11, 2011. What this means is you have today until December 11, to book your session. Once the openings are gone they are gone, I won't be able to extend the special past December 11, 2011. So are you ready to see what specials that are going to be offered? Well here you go:

The Merry Package & The Holly package I left out one detail in them & yes I did it on purpose.
Have you ever wanted to have your very own Christmas picture's made in front of your very own Christmas Tree? Well I am giving you that chance to do that; I will travel to your home & do your Christmas pictures, remember session only last 1 hour. You can included the family pet,or other family member's. The best part of it all is that I am not including my travel fee ;what is offered in the package is the package there are NO ADD ON's.  This doesn't have to be in your home, if you have somewhere else in mind by all means get permission for us to shoot there and let's do it.  I want you to have your own unique Christmas pictures; so if you didn't get a chance to book a fall session don't worry you still have time to book a Christmas session. Don't wait to long opening's may not last long.

The Noel Package is for anyone who has had a session in the year of 2011. I want to THANK YOU for making my year so successful, I have been quite the busy bee with sessions and I am so so thankful. I will be coming up with bigger & better things for 2012 that I can't wait to offer to everyone. Also, with all my packages this year I offered a free print up to an 11x14, if you haven't received that or sent me an email stating which image you wanted as an 11x14, please email me that and I will get you your free print. I want to make sure everyone received this, since it was part of the package I will be doing all these free prints up until December 31, 2011. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT TO ME (:

If you have any questions about the packages, please email me at: mkirkphoto@yahoo.com or give me a call at (615)330-4654. Spread the word to your friends & family and make sure they check out our Facebook Page
Keep in mind when you "like" our Facebook page it will keep you updated on the latest sessions, openings & of course the Specials that are going on. There is a reason to "like" it.
I look forward to working with you & your family this Holiday season.
Have a great day everyone!
